Read the program from a dsPIC

So I've got the bootloader running on the dsPIC, it looks as if it works, but does it really work?
To really be sure that the user blinky code got downloaded correctly to the dsPIC, I'd like to do some verification between the hex which should be downloaded and the dsPIC's program flash. You'd think this would be easy: Wrong!



With MplabX comes the Mplab IPE, IPE stands for Integrated Programming Environment, let's have a look at it:

Seems promising, you even have that Read button there. Now let's take a closer look:

Microchip hid the possibility to read the flash to a hex in the advanced menu, but lets watch the video:

It does take some long time to download the flash, that's for sure, but in the end it does the job, hurray!

Now I can finally see, if the download went correctly. BTW, it did!
